Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-factor Authentication for JD Edwards provides a simple, straightforward and secure way of allowing your users to access JD Edwards without having to enter a password in JDE. This solution leverages the Windows domain or can be authenticated using a SAML2 provider including Office365, Fortigate and other SAML2 providers. The solution correlates Active Directory users with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne users giving secure access to JD Edwards via any device including smartphone, scanners, desktops and tablets.

The Challenge
When users need to access Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne they need to identify themselves using a username and a password. They probably already identified themselves when they switched on their computer, most likely using a different username and password. If they forgot their password, they need to go through a tedious helpdesk process to have their password reset, eating up valuable time from their schedule just waiting for the reset.
How it Works
The tool uses a cross-reference database that correlates Active Directory users with (one or more) EOne users. This database does not contain any sensitive user data such as passwords, just the two user ID’s. As the relationship between the user ID’s is explicitly made, there is no need to synchronize usernames across these two systems.
Users will navigate to the provided SSO URL rather than the JD Edwards URL when using this solution. The user is then automatically logged on to JD Edwards and navigates to the desired menu or screen automatically.
JD Edwards Integration
This Single Sign-on (SSO) solution is cost effective, installed within the hour and does not require any software changes to either JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Active Directory or any other hardware or software component. It is a single sign-on solution, which removes the necessity to separately logon to your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne screens.
As any EnterpriseOne program can be embedded into the SSO URL, this JDE EOne add-on enables easy integration of specific EnterpriseOne transactions or screens. This allows you to safely implement access by external users or for non-frequent users such as time-entry users. From any web-based system, for instance CRM, specific URL’s can help users to navigate to the corresponding account and screens in their JD Edwards screens, without explicitly logging on in E1.
